Baby Gear...what a racket!

With the welcoming of baby Jack, brought the influx of baby gear. We've bought very little this time around, merely because we still had all of Roo's old stuff. Boy clothes, boy stuff, a bumbo seat and that's about it.

Well...since Roo will be joining Jack Jack and myself at home, the time has come to buy a double stroller. What a quandry I'm in. You think, hmm go to Babies R Us or Target and pick out something. There are three inherent problems with this.

1. Their stock is limited. While there are many "affordable options" there aren't many that fit OUR needs. Roo is nearly 34 lbs and 37 inches tall. Sure, she may not like a stroller when we are out and about, she can't be trusted to stick close. Also, we walk...alot. Like 3 miles at a time, several times a week. This means she HAS to be in a comfortable seat. So no sit and stand strollers. I also have a bad back. I've killed myself too many times trying to haul junk around. Which means no moderately priced doubles like the very stylish Graco DuoGlider (which weighs in at almost 40 lbs with NO ONE in it!).

2. I'm a bargain hunter. I LIKE a deal. I'm not "cheap" but I like a deal. I will google one item for days to find a sale or a coupon code or free shipping or SOMETHING. I can't help myself.

3. I'm a snob. I honestly try not to be. I'm certainly not judging people for their strollers. Jim says I just like the most bang for my buck...who am I kidding? I like names. Funny though, we all have clothes from Target in our closets. I think its just the big ticket items that get me. (OMG, did I really admit this???!!!)

So far I have two that might work for us...

1. Baby Jogger City Double - Weighs 23 lbs, holds up to 100 lbs, easy to fold and gets stellar reviews. Also, will fit in the trunk of the Accord. Cons: is a side by side and might be too tight in malls and crowded areas.

2. Phil & Teds E3 or Sports Buggy - Weighs 24 lbs, holds up to 88 lbs, easy to fold, can convert to single or double, is usable from birth, has inflated tires, is. Cons: Riley is only able to ride in front seat based on weight limits.

What is a girl to do???

Sit and think and wait for our Bush Bucks...
