This weekend has been full of big changes.
1. The binky fairy came and took all of the big girl's binkies and left her some special treats. That went incredibly well. Obviously the girl was ready to give it up. I mean really. She is 3 years and 1.5 months. BUT she was really attached. She asked for it once this entire weekend but was completely content with the reminder that the binky fairy came and took away all of the binks. :-)
2. We have completed day 1 one with operation Potty Train. Not that it was successful. It's over though! We spent the entire day on and off the pot. She had one success (YAY!) and several accidents. That's ok. She gets the idea now. She's been telling us all day, "I wear big girl undies now, I don't need diapers. I pee and poop in the potty."
This is the first week that Roo will be home with me and Jack-Jack. Should be interesting. Most of the time will be spent working on potty training. Then we head off to Grandma and Papa's house for the long weekend. We need a good beach trip...
If anyone has suggestions about how to travel with a potty training child, I would appreciate it. We typically stop at 2 hours in, which is just at half way. Pull ups? Diapers?

I think we will have the binky forever. Ugh! As for traveling, I would just do pull ups and don't worry about accidents if she goes int them.
On our recent trip, LG decided she was terrified of automatic flush toilets and had to wear pull ups. What could we do? It sucked but it was better than the alternative.
I was just wondering...what are binkies? is that her pacifier or her blanket?
